Steve Payne

Steve Payne was born and raised in Tracy, CA. He attended Tracy Schools through high school and also attended San Joaquin Junior College. Steve graduated from Chico State with a B.A. in Social Science and received Single Subject (Social Science), Multiple Subject and Learning Handicapped teaching credentials from National University. This is his 16th year in education; he has taught special education at the high school level and also taught 5th grade in a regular education classroom. Steve’s administrative experience prior to coming to New Jerusalem was as Director of Student Services for Linden Unified School District. In his spare time Steve likes to spend time with his family—wife Carla, his son Sam, and daughter Skylar. Steve also enjoys going to the theater, traveling, cooking, reading and watching movies. Steve enjoys the challenge of being a K-8 school principal and also being part of the New Jerusalem community.
