Enrollment Information

Enrollment at New Jerusalem Elementary School falls into two categories:

In-District Residents:  For those families that live in our district (see district map), you simply need to come to our office and enroll.  Please bring proof of residency, shot records and birth certificates to help make the enrollment process as quick as possible.  If you have a child that will be kindergarten age next year, please let us know as soon as possible (up to one year prior) that your child will be attending New Jerusalem.

Out of District Residents:  For those families that do not live in our district the process has a few more steps.  First, you need to make an appointment with the principal or superintendent to visit the school and discuss the reasons for requesting enrollment at New Jerusalem.  Second, you will need to obtain an “Inter-District Agreement” from the district office of the school district in which you live.  For most districts this is merely a formality and rarely are they denied.  If we have room in the class for which your child will be enrolling this process could be as quick as two days.  We will place students on a waiting list if the class they need is full.

If you have any further questions regarding enrolling your child at New Jerusalem School, please don’t hesitate to call us at (209) 835-2597, or email our principal at spayne@sjcoe.net
