Carol Castaneda
I am from Newman, CA; born and raised there. It is a nice little town that is great for families. I attended Modesto Jr. College and graduated with an AA in 1980. I returned to Stanislaus State University in 1999 and received my BA in 2002. I have been a teacher for 5 years (this is my 6th year). I was an instructional aide for about 7 years before I went back to school.
Most of my experience has been with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. I enjoy reading, sewing, gardening, puzzles, crafting, and cooking when I am not teaching. I love our school because of the students and the location.
The country atmosphere and small school are what I consider perfect for students to learn and stay grounded. Our students are country kids that love to play, talk, and just hang out with there friends and family.
